without whom AFMUN would not be and feel the same
Dear Delegates,
It is my absolute honor to serve as this year’s AFMUN President and to act as one of Asia’s Chairs for this esteemed conference. As a 17-year-old student with a deep passion for diplomacy, this marks my seventh Model United Nations conference, and each one has further fueled my commitment to fostering meaningful debate and collaboration.
Beyond MUN, I am a passionate volleyball player, a lover of music, and a fierce artist, finding inspiration and creativity both on and off the committee floor. I am excited to guide you through an engaging and productive conference, where your ideas and voices will shape the solutions we discuss.
Let’s make this AFMUN one to remember!
Best regards,
Evangelin Herde ;)
Dear Delegates,
My name is Hannah, and I am excited to welcome you to this year’s AFMUN conference. This is my seventh conference and my third time serving as a chair, and I am honored to be the Vice President of the General Assembly and a Chair of the African Committee. I am 17 years old and currently in 12th grade.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, spending time with friends and listening to music. I am also very interested in global issues, and I believe MUN provides a unique platform to foster diplomacy and collaboration.
This year, the conference will focus on gender equality—a key issue that forms a foundation in many areas, from education to peacebuilding. I encourage all of you, especially first-time delegates, to participate actively and share your perspectives. Every voice matters, your voice matters and this is a chance to grow, debate and make an impact.
I look forward to meeting you all and wish you successful and inspiring debates.
Sincerely,
Hannah

In my free time, I play the piano and go to the gym. Participating in MUN seems difficult at first, but I encourage you to try your best. It’s a great way to challenge your comfort zone and gain confidence. After all, have you ever regretted trying?
Nevertheless, I am looking forward to this year’s conference and hope for heated debates!
Sincerely,
Karol

Dear Delegates,
I’m Christina and currently a 10th grader. This is my first year as a Chair.
I decided to become a Chair because, when I was in 9th grade, a friend of mine who was a Chair helped me a lot during AFMUN. Whenever we didn’t understand something or had technical issues, they would help us as much as they could. I thought this was wholesome, and since then, I have wanted to become a Chair.
In my free time, I enjoy learning new K-pop choreos with my best friend. One of my hobbies is sewing. I’m also into reading Chinese light novels and poets like Edgar Allan Poe. I’ve recently started doing martial arts again after a two-year break. I also enjoy a good table tennis or badminton match with friends.
I’m looking forward to working with you.
Sincerely,
Christina
